Boston defeated New Jersey 32-20 to close out the season at 13-5 and clinch the second seed in the playoffs. That gives them a home game for the playoffs against the Oakland Invaders next week.
New Jersey underwhelmed this year. With likely league MVP Herschel Walker on the team, they expected much better than the 6-12 record they amassed. Changes are sure to come next year.
