Oakland continued their late season run. They guaranteed the 2nd seed in the playoffs with a win next week. Quarterback Fred Besana has led the surge, again contributing in this game with two short touchdown passes.
Boston managed only 3 field goals in the important match up. While they have a spot in the playoffs, too, unless they win and Oakland loses next week, they will have to travel to California again in the first round of the playoffs. Against an 8-1 Oakland team at home, that will prove to be a difficult mountain to climb.
