Oklahoma Outlaws 17, Chicago Blitz 31

The Chicago Blitz secured their 10th win of the season with a 31-17 victory over the Oklahoma Outlaws at Soldier Field. The Outlaws struck first with a 38-yard field goal by Luis Herrera and extended their lead to 10-3 in the second quarter with a 4-yard touchdown run by Terry Sample. However, Chicago responded just before halftime with a 2-yard touchdown run from star running back Tim Spencer, tying the game at 10.

In the third quarter, the Blitz took control, capitalizing on Oklahoma’s mistakes. Spencer ignited the offense with a 51-yard touchdown run, followed by a quick strike from quarterback Greg Landry to Cedric Anderson for an 18-yard touchdown after a fumble recovery. Landry added another score, connecting with tight end Joe Ricker for a 10-yard touchdown pass, giving Chicago a commanding 31-10 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Oklahoma fought back early in the fourth with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Doug Williams to Louis Hill, but the Outlaws’ comeback attempt was stifled by turnovers. Williams threw three interceptions, and the Blitz defense held firm, allowing no points the rest of the way. Spencer, who finished with 221 rushing yards and two touchdowns, was named MVP of the game as Chicago maintained their strong hold on the division.
