Birmingham took care of business at home on Friday afternoon. They defeated Jacksonville soundly by a score of 47-7. MVP candidate quarterback Cliff Stoudt threw for 255 yards and 3 touchdowns in teh game. The defense added a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the rout.
Jacksonville avoided the shutout with a touchdown pass about halfway through the fourth quarter. While they gained over 300 yards of total offense, they also turned the ball over 5 times. As many games this year have shown, that is always a recipe for disaster.
