Houston dispatched Pittsburgh Saturday afternoon by a score of 31-14. MVP front runner Jim Kelly added four touchdown passes to his total. 3 of them came to Richard Johnson, who extended his own lead in touchdowns by wide receivers.
The Maulers tied the game late in the 4th quarter with two touchdown runs by different backs. But, they couldn’t overcome the many mistakes by quarterback Glenn Carano. He threw 5 interceptions in the game, dooming them to the loss.
