1984 Week 11 Wrap Up

Week 11 saw a mixture of expected results and complete head scratchers. On Saturday, both Oakland and Los Angeles won their games, as expected. However, Tampa shockingly lost to Jacksonville in the battle of Florida. Sunday saw another wild upset with San Antonio beating Chicago. Birmingham upended Philadelphia at home, the Stars second loss of the season.

The remainder of the games went as expected with Houston’s offense continuing to run wile and New Jersey notching another win after their terrible start. Memphis defeated Washington and Arizona closed out the week with a huge win in Boston on Monday.

Week 11 Standings

Players of the Week

Offense: Herschel Walker, RB, New Jersey Generals. Walker caught 8 passes for 137 yards and three touchdowns. He added another 68 yards rushing with the other touchdown to account for all of the Generals scoring in the game.

Defense: Will Lewis, DB, Houston Gamblers. Lloyd returned an interception 20 yards for a touchdown and recorded 8 tackles in the Gamblers win over Michigan this week.

Special Teams: Danny Miller, K, Houston Gamblers. Miller was perfect on the day, kicking one field goal and 6 extra points this week.
