1984 Week 10 Wrap Up

Another full weekend of USFL football saw games on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. On Friday, Oakland, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh all got wins. Philadelphia’s brings them to 9-1 and was an important division win.

On Saturday, San Antonio won in Arizona and Tampa Bay took care of business at home. Then on Sunday, Birmingham buried Denver to the tune of 52 points. New Jersey kept their win streak alive after a winless start. And, Oakland came back big against Chicago. Los Angeles closed out the weekend by dueling Houston to a victory.

Week 10 Standings

Players of the Week

Offense: Cliff Stoudt, QB, Birmingham Stallions. Stoudt went crazy this week, passing for 457 yards and 7 touchdowns in the Stallions win over the Gold

Defense: Frank Manamuleaga, LB, Oakland Invaders. Manamuleaga recorded 6 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown in Oakland’s comeback win over Chicago.

Special Teams: Nick Mike-Mayer, K, San Antonio Gunslingers. Mike-Mayer converted all 7 of his kicks, including 5 field goals and 2 extra points to help San Antonio defeat the Wranglers.
