Oakland won a wild one on Sunday night. Trailing 27-3 halfway through the fourth quarter, they scored 35 unanswered points in only 8 minutes. Quarterback Fred Besana took over, throwing four of those touchdowns. The other came on an interception return by the defense.
Chicago built that lead on 2 touchdown passes by Greg Landry and a touchdown run with two field goals sprinkled in. Their defense then collapsed, allowing the Invaders offense to run wild, ultimately giving up the final score with less than a minute to go in the game.
