Pittsburgh defeated Memphis 27-17 Friday afternoon. Behind a strong defense that allowed less than 250 total yards and scored a touchdown and an offense that did just enough to outscore the Showboats, the Maulers got their third win of the season.
As with many of the expansion teams this year, Memphis continues to struggle. They can’t find wins other than against some of the other new teams in the league. At this point, all their fans can hope is that the core that they put together stays together long enough to pay off in wins.
