Jacksonville surprised Memphis on Friday evening. They built a 21-7 halftime lead and held on for the win by scoring the only touchdown in the second half. Quarterback Robbie Mahfouz threw for almost 300 yards and 2 touchdowns. The defense also forced four turnovers.
Quarterback Walter Lewis threw those four interceptions. He also managed less than 200 yards passing. The loss ties the two teams in the cellar of the South division at the midpoint in the season.
