Pittsburgh doubled up Denver Saturday afternoon. Quarterback Glenn Carano took control. He threw for a touchdown and ran for one, too. Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh defense held Denver to under 250 total yards in the game.
Denver also lost the time of possession battle. They held the ball for 10 minutes less than the Maulers. Their sole touchdown came on a fumble recovery at the beginning of the fourth quarter. After that, they still had some hope, but Pittsburgh came away with the win.
