
Chicago efficiently dispatched San Antonio Saturday night. They built a 24-0 lead and came within a minute of a shutout. In spite of the close score, they dominated both sides of the ball. Their balanced offense rushed for 208 yards and threw for 227. Their defense allowed only 197 total yards to the Gunslingers.
The lone San Antonio score came with less than a minute left. Quarterback Rick Neuheisel tossed the pass to avoid the shutout. San Antonio’s run game fared no better. They rushed 22 times for only 50 yards.
