Birmingham pulled away from Boston on Monday night. Quarterback Cliff Stoudt threw three touchdown passes in the game. The Stallions defense kept the Breakers under 30 yards rushing for the entire game. Even though they threw for over 200, that still added up to less than 300 yards of total offense.
They kept the game close through the first half. Then, Birmingham went on a scoring spree, with 17 unanswered points. Since the running game never got started for Boston, they had to rely on their passing game. Quarterback Johnny Walton put up good yardage, but just couldn’t find the end zone with any consistency.
