
Washington edged Pittsburgh by a touchdown Sunday at home. They went back and forth with the Maulers, building leads twice. Quarterback Craig Hoensee threw for three touchdowns on the game, including the score that put them ahead with 3 minutes left in the game.
Pittsburgh twice came back from a 14 point deficit. They also were driving to tie the game after the final Hohensee touchdown. They ran out of steam and turned the ball over on downs to seal the victory for the Federals.
