Philadelphia continued to fulfill the promise from last year to be better. They defeated Washington and pulled to 2-0 in the early season. Quarterback Chuck Fusina threw for two touchdowns. The defense gave up just over 250 total yards to the Federals.
After an opening win against New Jersey, Washington again showed that they can’t compete with the top of the league. In addition to the lack of yardage, they turned the ball over 3 times. Philadelphia, meanwhile, turned it over none.
