Washington Federals 30, Jacksonville Bulls 24

Washington ruined Jacksonville’s inauguration into the USFL by defeating them Sunday afternoon. Both quarterbacks played well. The difference proved to be in the running game. Washington gained twice as many yards as Jacksonville in the running game. Curtis Bledsoe led that attack with 108 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Robby Mahfouz played well in the game, throwing for two touchdowns. He gives Jacksonville fans something to cheer for this year. Ultimately, though the lack of a run game hurt the Bulls. The time of possession went to Washington by a margin of roughly 42-18. Tough to win games when that happens.
