Pittsburgh Maulers 23, Oklahoma Outlaws 10

Pittsburgh came into the 1984 season with high hopes. They drafted Heismann winner Mike Rozier. Those hopes came true for at least one week as they defeated Oklahoma. In addition, their defense held the Outlaws to less than 300 total yards and 10 points.

Oklahoman never managed to get going as that defense stymied them for the entire game. With only 45 yards rushing, the game never opened up for the passing game and Doug Williams managed only 183 yards passing.
