Tampa Bay ended a disappointing season on a high note by defeating division rival Birmingham by a score of 37-7. Quarterback Jimmy Jordan led the Bandits with 4 touchdown passes. They now turn their sights to the offseason and trying to turn things around in a hurry.
Birmingham, one of the hottest teams of the second half of the season, fell to earth in this game. They only avoided a shut out with a rushing touchdown halfway through the fourth quarter. Luckily, they have a better base on which to build than Tampa Bay and should be competitive from the beginning of the season in 1984.
