Philadelphia Stars 15, Washington Federals 30

Washington kept division rival Philadelphia under .500 by defeating them on the last week of the season. They excelled in all facets of the game, rushing for a touchdown, throwing for one, and returning a fumble for a score. The win also kept them out of the basement in their division.

Philadelphia, a team with championship aspirations at the beginning of the season, never found the consistency necessary to stay on par with Boston. Instead, they finished 8-10 and need to think of ways to compete next year.
