Washington Federals 14, Denver Gold 28

Make it two in a row for the Denver Gold. Behind a strong running game that gained 240 yards and scored two touchdowns, Denver beat down a Washington team that felt good about themselves after last week’s win over New Jersey. Harry Sydney ran for a bulk of the yards and scored both touchdowns, possibly establishing himself as the starter.

Washington kept it close, leading in the first half. Unfortunately, they let up 18 points in the second half and scored none, leading to the loss. Even so, they seem to have found something with quarterback Mike Hohensee and perhaps they can build something in the last part of the season and next year.
