Oakland finished week 11 with a close battle against the Washington Federals. Both teams could only manage 3 field goals between them until quarterback Fred Besana threw a touchdown pass with about 5 minutes left in the game. That proved to be enough for the win. They try to keep their winning form against Tampa Bay next week.
Washington fell to a new low point with the loss. Like Arizona in the west, their fans are starting to see no point in supporting the team if the owners aren’t going to even make a show of being competitive. They hope to turn things around a bit against division leading Boston in week 12.
