New Jersey fell again, this time to Birmingham at home. In spite of another stellar performance by likely MVP Herschel Walker, the Generals are 3-6 and only saved from the bottom of the east by Washington right now. With a chance to win the game after a late touchdown and missed two point by Birmingham, New Jersey managed only 32 yards and a turnover on downs.
Birmingham continues their hot middle of the season streak. They’ve won 4 in a row and find themselves only 2 games back of Chicago and very much alive in the playoff hunt. They look to keep it going next week against Los Angeles at home. New Jersey runs into a potential buzz saw in undefeated Michigan.
