Boston defeated Los Angeles Saturday afternoon in an exciting game to improve to 7-3 and keep the east division lead. They came back from deficits of 13-3 and16-13. Johnny Walton threw a touchdown pass to Charlie Smith to give Boston the 20-16 lead. He then threw another touchdown to Smith and Los Angeles never recovered.
In spite of two touchdown passes of his own by Los Angeles quarterback Mike Rae, the Breakers proved to be too much for them. The loss continues a troubling trend for LA. After starting the season with 3 straight wins, they’ve gone 1-6 in their last seven and only two games out of last place in the division.
