Chicago easily handled New Jersey for their 6th win of the season and to stay only 2 games back of division leading Michigan. The 6-2 record is strong enough to get Chicago the current wild card spot in the playoffs. Behind a season record 8 field goals, the Blitz took care of New Jersey 38-7.
The Generals managed only a touchdown from quarterback Bobby Scott to Herschel Walker. Five turnovers doomed New Jersey and they got outgained by almost 150 yards. The loss pushes them a game behind the Stars for 2nd place in the division and continues the frustration from a once promising season.
