Boston Breakers 24, Philadelphia Stars 21

Boston held off a Philadelphia rally at the end of the game to win and stay on top of the East division. The Breakers got out to a 14-0 lead on a touchdown pass by Joe Walton and a fumble return. They added another rushing touchdown and a field goal in the second half.

The only scoring the Stars managed in the first half was two field goals by David Trout. Quarterback Chuck Fusina and running back Kelvin Bryant both added touchdowns in the second half with one 2-point conversion to put them down by only a field goal with 5 minutes left. The Stars got one last ditch effort at the end of the game, but turned it over on downs to seal the win for Boston.
