
Los Angeles defeated Philadelphia in the Coliseum Sunday night to take sole possession of the Western Division lead. In spite of being outgained by over 100 yards, 282-173, Los Angeles took advantage of 6 turnovers by the visiting stars. CB Wymon Henderson closed out the scoring with one of those turnovers on a 36 yard fumble return for a touchdown.
Quarterback Chuck Fusina added two other fumbles and an interception, dooming Philadelphia’s chance at a win. Los Angeles kept Kelvin Bryant in check, but Allen Harvin picked up the slack, running for 115 yards and one of Philadelphia’s two touchdowns.
