
Birmingham handed Philadelphia their second straight loss of the young season in a defensive struggle on Monday Night. Bob Lane scored touchdown early in the second half and Birmingham’s defense held on for the hard fought win, their first of the season. Both teams managed barely 200 yards of total offense in the game.
Kelvin Bryant rushed for 114 yards and Philadelphia’s only touchdown. But, the Stallions held quarterback Chuck Fusina to under 100 yards passing in the victory. The loss leaves Philadelphia fans wondering if a once promising season might turn south very quickly.
