New Jersey pulled off a stunner against East division rival Philadelphia. Behind strong performances by their quarterback Bobby Scott (4 touchdowns) and Herschel Walker (over 150 total yards and a score), they built leads of 16-0 and 23-7 in the first half before Philadelphia chipped away in the second half.
Led by Kelvin Bryant’s 2 rushing touchdowns, the Stars pulled to within one point late in the game. Scott and the Generals offense put the pressure on when he found Walker in the end zone with a little over a minute left. Then, the Generals defense forced a turnover on downs and sealed the game once and for all.
