Game Recap
Defense ruled the night in Denver during the first ever installment of the USFL’s Sunday Night Football. Both quarterbacks combined for 6 interceptions. The two teams also added a combined 5 fumbles to the miscues. As a result of their mistakes, Denver managed only two field goals in the scoring column.
Philadelphia’s depth carried them to the win in spite of Chuck Fusina’s 2 interceptions. Kelvin Bryant rushed for 110 yards and the two touchdowns that proved to be the winning margin in the game. Meanwhile, Denver’s quarterback, Ken Johnson, finds himself on the bench after only one game. They will try out Craig Penrose next week against Boston.
