Game Recap
Oakland efficiently disposed of Arizona, scoring 34 points on less than 300 yards of offense. Their defense played a role, intercepting Alan Risher 3 times. All three led to touchdowns on the ensuing possession, including 2 of Arthur Whittington’s 3 touchdowns.
Risher made up for the interceptions somewhat with two touchdown passes. But, the rest of the offense managed only 4 yards per rush, went 3-12 on third down conversions, and took 6 sacks for 42 yards lost. All in all, a dominant performance by Oakland who put the West division on early warning.
