New Jersey Generals 19, Los Angeles Express 27

Game Recap

In what is quickly becoming a first week trend, Los Angeles stormed out to a insurmountable first half lead on three touchdown passes by Mike Rae. Two went to Anthony Allen and the third to Jo Jo Townsell. They, then, only needed two fourth quarter field goals to put the game on ice. On defense, they held Herschel Walker in check on the ground.

However, quarterback Bobby Scott found a way to get the New Jersey star running back involved in the offense with two second half tosses for scores. Walker finished the day with over 200 yards of total offense on the day and looks to fulfill the promise as one of the most electrifying players in the USFL.
