Game Recap
The Chicago Blitz surged out to a 17-0 first half lead on a rushing touchdown by Tim Spencer and a passing touchdown from Greg Landry to Wamon Buggs. On defense, they held Washington scoreless until almost halfway through the third quarter. They harassed Washington quarterback Kim McQuilken all afternoon, forcing three fumbles and nabbing two interceptions.
McQuilken fought through that adversity, accounting for the only two touchdowns scored by the Federals in the game. Craig James added over 170 total yards rushing and receiving. But, Washington simply couldn’t overcome the miscues by their quarterback and their coach vowed to work on turnovers in practice this week.
