Well, I disappeared for a little over a week. I explain my disappearance in Ready Player One Episode 4, but I think an explanation is necessary here, too. I took kids to play, soccer, and now baseball. Suddenly, I got from no free time to much free time again. Play is over this week (rehearsal ended last week), soccer ends in a few weeks, and only baseball remains. So, the schedule for this week follows. Today, Thursday, and Sunday. 3 chapters per episode and I finish right around the same time right before we leave for Germany.

Very late, but here’s Ready Player One Episode 3. I spent much of this week sick on the couch, so that’s the main reason. But, I found some time in between baseball and soccer to record, edit, and release the episode. One thing. This is the last week of play rehearsal, so hopefully that means more time to record. After Wednesday and Sunday of this week, I have a possible schedule for three days a week again. Then again, reading 3 chapters per episode might work out, too.

Best laid plans and all that. I wanted to release two episodes this week and maybe even get ahead on my reading schedule because it was April break from school. But, we had too much fun in the Berkshires with friends, so Ready Player One Episode 2 comes now. I already read and wrote my summary for the next episode, though, for chapters 4, 5, and 6. After wrapping up Dragons of Deceit, we move on to the next book in Noob’s Book Club. Ready Player One Episode 1 covers the prologue and chapter 1 in the book. It also wrestles with some baggage that the book picked up in the past decade plus of its existence. But, I think we can all be adults and discuss both the book and the baggage.

One day late on Dragons of Deceit Episode 23. But, as mentioned in the show, we are prioritizing our twice as many YouTube viewers as podcast listeners (about 6 vs 2 or 3). I looked back over the time/date stamp from Episode 21. I knew we took an unintended hiatus, but I never realized how long we took. Sorry about that. I mentioned in my most recent article that we have a tendency to go dark from time to time. But, I promise not to lose my focus in spite of the craziness right now. Play for two kids, soccer for one, scouts for one, and we are currently down a car until April vacation in three weeks. But, even with Dragons of Deceit Episode 22 coming out 2 weeks late, I planned the rest and we will be done this week.

Back on schedule with Dragons of Deceit Episode 21. I wondered if I would be able to get it recorded and released today because everyone got the day off for a snow day. But, after going out to clear the walk and driveway, I came back in to record. That’s why I might sound a little out of breath. In any case, I used the episode for some therapy, too. I really wish now that I had some people to discuss the book with. Oh well, maybe with time.

Simultaneously late and on time with this episode! Soccer Thursday, movie night Friday, and then more soccer yesterday means that both chapters 26 and 27 release with this Dragons of Deceit Episode 20. Tuesday brings chapters 28 and 29 and then 30 and 31 in the next two episodes. Still on schedule to end the series by the end of the month. Ready Player One came in the mail. I also picked up the prelude book to the new D&D movie. I thought it might be interesting to have that tie in, but I also want to take a break from D&D literature right now.
