I switched to a Wednesday/Saturday schedule. Or, was it Tuesday/Saturday? In any case, this schedule works better for me. Dragons of Fate Episode 7 releasing on time verifies that. Book 2 of volume 2 starts off strong. I can’t wait to see what comes next. Alas, we have to wait until next episode. However, I hope you join me for that.
Give it a listen and let me know what you think. What did I do right? What can be improved? I want to make this work and take constructive criticism well. With no additional delay, download and listen to Dragons of Fate Episode 7. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
I chose my next book for Noob’s Book Club. Quinn loves Jurassic Park and he asked for the novels. I planned to buy them for Christmas, but Christine got them. As he read, he told me about the books. I last read them when the movie came out, 30 years ago. I forget much of what was in the book, so I plan to read that one next in the series.
Note: If you want to read along, find a copy at your local (or multinational conglomerate) book store to purchase and add to the conversation. I hope you enjoy my return to the podcasting arena and I look forward to bringing more content as time allows over the next few months.
I released episode 5 very late last week. Therefore, starting with Dragons of Fate Episode 6, I move to a Wednesday and Saturday release schedule. I think it is much more sustainable in the long run. In this episode, I finish up Book 1 of Dragons of Fate. Sandwiched between two pretty epic chapters, we get a less epic chapter of Tas discovering some of the truth behind the gnomes invention of the Dragonlance.

Dragons of Fate episode 5 comes 5 days late. As I discovered this week, the beginning of the school year comes hard and fast. As a result, you only get one episode this week. However, I worked the rest of the time to start to read the next chapters and take my notes. Therefore, I am right on schedule to release on Tuesday and Thursday of next week. Also, I need to edit and get the first episode of the reboot of the reboot of the main show for next week. Keep an eye out for that then and for the rest of the year.

Dragons of Fate Episode 4 releases late even after the readjustment of my schedule due to starting school with students this week. I still plan to release episode 5 on Tuesday and get back to the promised schedule this coming week. I have all day tomorrow to read and take my notes for that one.

I took last week off. That might have been a mistake. Even though I’m releasing Dragons of Fate Episode 3 in time with the revamped schedule, this week is shaping up to be busier than anticipated. Thursday and Friday I am going camping with Quinn. Maybe I can get Episode 4 out on Saturday and then get back to Tuesday and Thursday releases next week. That actually sounds perfect. Let’s go with that schedule. See you Saturday!

As of right now, I need to find the next book for Noob’s Book Club. If you have any ideas, be sure to get in touch and let me know. So far, I read Dragons of Deceit, Ready Player One, and did a couple of special episodes about the Ready Player One Movie and Road to Neverwinter.
I want to stick to nerd content on this particular show. So, fantasy, science fiction, or gaming books. Other than that, I’m open to pretty much anything. Who knows? Maybe I’ll get a flash of inspiration like I did with Ready Player One

I started the new series on Tuesday with Episode 1. After only three chapters, I like this book much more than the first. After reviewing chapters 4, 5, and 6, I talk a bit about why I like the set up of these chapters and then another reason why the book might be better than the first. Dragons of Fate Episode 2 ends with a discussion of two lessons learned from the introduction of Huma and Magius into the story.

Back from Cape Cod after reading the book and taking notes, I present you with Dragons of Fate Episode 1. The book picks up where Dragons of Deceit left off almost to the second. Fitting as the series is all about time travel. Not to give the ending away too early, but I already enjoy this book much more than the first one. After giving the synopsis, I talk about why this might be true and then give more reaction regarding the characters and plot.

Noob gives the penultimate episode in the series, Dragons of Deceit Episode 24. After the fun of the previous episode, lots to process before the thrilling conclusion of both the book and this series. Though, truth be told, I’m ready to read something else for a few months. And, so, I will give you a surprise with the prologue “0000” from Ready Player One.

As of right now, the next book in the series will be Ready Player One. I never read it and I saw it in one of my kid’s backpack. I have a plan to finish that one before the next Dragonlance book comes out in August.
One day late on Dragons of Deceit Episode 23. But, as mentioned in the show, we are prioritizing our twice as many YouTube viewers as podcast listeners (about 6 vs 2 or 3). The show is here and we are hurtling towards the conclusion and introduction of the next book. Actually, up until Chapter 33, we limped more than hurtled, but what can you do? To be perfectly honest, I’m ready to put this book down and read Ready Player One.

I looked back over the time/date stamp from Episode 21. I knew we took an unintended hiatus, but I never realized how long we took. Sorry about that. I mentioned in my most recent article that we have a tendency to go dark from time to time. But, I promise not to lose my focus in spite of the craziness right now. Play for two kids, soccer for one, scouts for one, and we are currently down a car until April vacation in three weeks. But, even with Dragons of Deceit Episode 22 coming out 2 weeks late, I planned the rest and we will be done this week.
